Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ESSNC ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use ESSNC. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Account Registration

To use ESSNC, you must create an account using a valid invite code and email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Upload false, misleading, or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to circumvent any security features
  • Use automated systems to access the Service

5. Subscription and Payments

ESSNC operates on a subscription model. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law.

6. Peer Verification (Runes)

The Rune system allows users to verify traits of other users they have met in person. By giving or receiving Runes, you acknowledge that these verifications are subjective and represent personal opinions, not factual guarantees.

7. Safety Features

ESSNC provides safety features including location sharing during meetups. These features are tools to enhance safety but do not guarantee your security. Always exercise caution when meeting people from the internet.

8. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create on ESSNC. By posting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

ESSNC is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee successful connections, the accuracy of user profiles, or the safety of in-person meetings.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ESSNC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
